A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN WSDOT
SUPPLEMENT NO. 2 TO THE CITY/COUNTY AGREEMENT, SIGN A
REVISED LETTER OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND HAVE
STAFF TRANSFER FUNDS TO KEARNEY STREET IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT.
WHEREAS,
the City Council adopted a Capital Improvements Plan as part of the 1994 budget;
and
WHEREAS, additional estimated construction costs are anticipated by the design consultant for
the Kearney Street Improvements Project in the amount of $40,275; and
WHEREAS, funds may be appropriated from water and stormwater utility resources for related
improvements; and
WHEREAS,
the City Council finds these expenses necessary to achieve desired improvements
including bicycle and pedestrian facilities, a regional stormwater treatment system,
modest landscaping, and a pavement overlay.
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVfiD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AS
FOLLOWS:
The Mayor is to sign WSDOT City/County Agreement Supplement No. 2 and a revised
letter of responsibility in substantially the same forms as attached hereto.
Staff is authorized to transfer $8,117 from the 1994 Water Main Replacement Account
and $32,158 from the Stormwater Master Plan Implementation Account for the Kearney
Street Improvements Project.
