A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH POLARIS ENGINEERING AND
SURVEYING, INC. FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING
SERVICES TO EXTEND THE LITTLE QUILCENE RIVER TO LORDS
LAKE WATER TRANSMISSION PIPELINE.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Engineering Services funding as part of the 1994 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the Surface Water Treatment Rule (SWTR) requires watershed control and
maintenance of source water quality; and
WHEREAS,
the City has investigated the qualification of Polaris Engineering and Surveying
Inc. and finds that they are qualified to perform the services required, and has
found their past services to the City to be satisfactory,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED that the Council hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of Port Townsend
to sign a professional services contract with Polaris Engineering and Surveying, Inc for the
preparation of construction plans, field staking, construction inspection, and as built plan
preparation for an extension of a 20 inch water transmission pipeline and energy dissipator device
on the water supply pipeline from the Little Quilcene River to Lords Lake.
