A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AND THE
PORT TOWNSEND CIVIC TRUST FOR THE YEAR OF 1994 FOR
TOURISM ADVISORY GROUP STAFF SUPPORT
WHEREAS, the City desires to contract for services to support the Tourism Advisory
Group, a committee formed by the City to make recommendations to the City on strategies for
implementing the Port Townsend Jefferson County Tourism Development and Marketing Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend Civic Trust is willing and capable of providing staff
support to the Tourism Advisory Group Council; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend that the Mayor
is authorized to execute an Agreement with the Port Townsend Civic Trust in substantially the
form as attached. Under this Agreement, Port Townsend Civic Trust will provide staff support
for the Tourism Advisory Group for an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Seven Hundred
Dollars ($2,700.00) for the remainder of calendar year 1994. The Clerk/Treasurer is authorized
to issue warrants in payment of the contract using proceeds of the hotel/motel tax.
