A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT TO THE
INTERLOCAL AGREEgRENT WITH PORT TOWNSEND SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 50
REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVE)lENTS TO THE SANITARY SEWER
LINE THROUGH THE PORT TOWNSEND gRIDDLE SCHOOL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS,
As authorized by City Council Resolution 94-03, the City and Port
Townsend School District No. 50 entered into an interlocal agreement
to allow for the sharing of services and the apportioning of costs
in connection with the construction of improvements to a City
sanitary sewer trunk line through the Middle School property; and
WHEREAS,
Amendments to the interlocal agreement have been authorized by City
Council Resolutions 94-37 and 94-51; and
WHEREAS,
Port Townsend School District now has requested an amendment to the
interlocal agreement which would specifically include the cost of
inspection services related to the constructed improvements to the
sanitary sewer line as a cost to be cOvered by the City; and
WHEREAS,
Staff of the Public Works Department has discussed this subject with
school district representatives and reviewed a proposal for
inspection services; and
WHEREAS,
The Public Works Department has recommended that the amendment to
the interlocal agreement be authorized,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND that it hereby
authorizes the Mayor to sign an amendment to the interlocal agreement with Port
Townsend School District No. 50 to include the cost of inspection services
related to the constructed improvements to the sanitary sewer trunk line as a
cost to be covered by the City.
