A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A GRANT
CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY FOR
STORMWATER COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING AND FLOOD CONTROL
WHEREAS,
an application was submitted to the Department of Ecology in 1993 for FCAAP (Flood
Control Assistance Account Program) funds to perform studies and develop long-term
management of stormwater flooding issues, through the evaluation of two representative
drainage basins within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City was subsequently awarded a grant providing $40,000 to be matched with
an equal mount of funds from stormwater utility funds; and
WHEREAS, funds have been made available in the 1994 Budget in anticipation of this project,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign a contract in substantially the form as attached, amounting to $80,000,
including $40,000 in matching FCAAP grant funds with which to perform analyses and design
work as detailed in the scope of work.
