A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH POLARIS ENGINEERING AND
SURVEYING, INC. FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING
SERVICES TO EXTEND THE LITTLE QUILCENE RIVER TO LORDS
LAKE WATER TRANSMISSION PIPELINE.
WHEREAS, The Surface Water Treatment Rule (SWTR) requires watershed control and
maintenance of source water quality; and
WHEREAS, Surveying and engineering designs have been havebeen completed; and
WHEREAS, Funding for the project is budgeted for in watershed plan implementation; and
WHEREAS, The City desires to bid for this equipment in a fair and timely fashion, in
accordance with State and local bidding regulations;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED that the Council hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of Port Townsend
to bid for contracting services to construct the extension to the Little Quilcene diversion pipeline.
