A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT
WITH CH2M HILL FOR TECHNICAL SERVICES PROJECTS.
WHEREAS,
The City negotiated a contract with CH2M HILL for technical services covering
the following projects: Aquifer Recharge/Critical Areas Ordinance, Little
Quilcene Dam, and Port of Port Townsend Stormwater Plan; and
WHEREAS,
The City has monies available within the 1994 CIP budget for these projects and
has conformed with the standards of the law by establishing a roster of qualified
consultants; and
WHEREAS,
The City has investigated the qualifications of CH2M HILL and finds that they
are qualified to perform the services required, and has found their past services
to the City to be satisfactory and has negotiated this proposed contract; and
WHEREAS,
The City does not have the staff available for these services, and because such
services are not needed on an ongoing basis, it makes sense for the City to
"privatize" these work efforts; and
WHEREAS, CH2M HILL has arranged to hire local residents for many areas of the work to
be performed,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the
Mayor to sign an agreement with CH2M HILL for miscellaneous services.
