A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO BE ABLE TO SIGN CHANGE
ORDER ONE FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,000 FOR ADDITIONAL
REPAIRS TO THE CITY DOCK FACILITY AND PILE DRIVING TESTS FOR
THE UNION WHARF WITH MANSON CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING,
INC.

The City anticipates further repair or removal of the Wave Board under City
Dock and pile driving tests along Union Wharf; and
Manson Construction and Engineering, Inc. is currently performing other
improvements at City Dock and can proVide the equipment and services needed
under a force account arrangement; and
Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring prompt, fair
negotiation and signatures by the City and the Contractor; and
The City wishes to expedite negotiations and finalizing of necessary Change
Orders while the Contractor is on-site and available,
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize the
Mayor to:
A. Sign Change Order No. 1 for an amount nOt exceeding $12,000; and
commensurate with the actual work performed.
