A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
BID FOR A BACKHOE FOR THE WATER
DEPARTMENT.
WHERE., the existing backhoe used by the Maintenance Division of the Water
Department needs to be replaced and upgraded to meet the demands of area growth; and
WHEREAS, the existing equipment will be utilized at the biosolids composting facility; and
WItEREAS, the acquisition of this equipment is funded in the 1995 Water Distribution
budget.
~REAS, the City desires to bid for this equipment in a fair and timely fashion, in
accordance with State and local bidding regulations;
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize the
Mayor to bid for a backhoe for the Water~n Division.
