RESOLUTION NO. 95- IS-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT TO
FCAAP GRANT NO. G9400336 AND A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH POLARIS ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING, INC. TO ASSIST THE
CITY IN PERFORMING THE WORK.
WHEREAS, The City has previously signed a grant contract with the DOE (Department of
Ecology) for FCAAP (Flood Control )planning in certain watershed basins within
the City limits; and
WHEREAS, Insufficient funds were made available by DOE to perfoIDl all of the originally
planned work requiring a rescoping of the original contract; and
WHEREAS, Progress on the project is assisting staff in understanding flooding potentials; and
WHEREAS, Polaris Engineering and Surveying, Inc. has been previously retained as
Consultant to perfonn this work and has perfonned their work satisfactorily to
date; and
WHEREAS, Staff does not have sufficient resources to perfonn this contract work without the
assistance of a Consultant, .
NOW
THEREFORE
Be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize the
Mayor to:

A. Sign Amendment No.1 to FCAAP Grant No. 09400336; and
B. Sign the attached Professional Services Agre~ment for Polaris Engineering and Surveying, Inc.
for an amount not to exceed $85/ () C)o.
