A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTI~CT AGREEMENT WITH
UTILITY SERVICES ASSOCIATION· INC. FOR LEAK DETECTION
SERVICES ON APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES OF WATER MAIN PIPELINES.
WHEREAS ·
Funds have been allocated in the 1995 budget for professional
services to provide leak detection services in the City's
water distribution system; and
WHEREAS,
The reduction of water leakage can result in financial
savings as well as conserving more water for customer use;
and
Utility Services Association, Inc. has proven experience in
providing leak detection services over the past two years
with the City and has been selected from our Professional
Services Roster in accordance with RCW 39.80,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND that it
authorizes the Mayor to sign a contract agreement in substantially the
same form as attached for leak detection services covering but not
limited to 25 miles of water main pipeline with Utility Services
Association, Inc., not to exceed the sum of $8,000.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by
the Mayor this 21st day of February, 19
