A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A JOINT FUNDING
AGREEMENT FOR WATER RESOURCES INVESTIGATIONS WITH THE
U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY (USGS).
WHEREAS,
The City requires streamflow information to comply with our water right on the
Little Quilcene River and mutually agreed upon instream flow for the Big
Q~ailcene River's; and,
WHEREAS, The streamflow information is necessary to protect our water rights; and
WHEREAS, This hydrological information wilt assist in the accurate prediction and
management of our water resources;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED that the Council hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of Port Townsend
to sign the joint funding agreement for -water resources inve~gafions with the USGS.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 6th day
of March, 1995.
