A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT
TO THE CONTRACT WITH CH2M HILL, CHANGING THE SCOPE OF
SERVICES FOR THE DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN OF THE
COUNTY (TRI-AREA) CT PIPELINE.
WHEREAS, CH2M HILL was contracted to design the pipeline in the Tri-Area to meet CT
compliance regulations in the original contract dated June 3, 1993; and
WHEREAS, CH2M HILL assisted the City in reviewing alternative methods of reaching CT
compliance regulations in the Tri-Area; and
WHEREAS, the City has decided to proceed with one of these alternatives; and
WHEREAS,
It has been determined that CH2M HILL is the most qualified firm to proceed
with the design of the well and water treatment upgrades based on' their
experience, knowledge of the area, and the fact that much of the preliminary
investigative work has been performed.
NOW.THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
that it authorizes the Mayor to sign the attached amendment to the contract with CH2M HILL
which changes the scope of the contract to design the well and water treatment upgrades.
The budget will remain unchanged.
