A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO NEGOTIATE A LEASE AND
RELATED UTILITY SERVICES FOR A JOB TRAILER FOR SAN JUAN
AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT.
Whereas,
The City of Port Townsend is preparing a design for improvements to San Juan
Avenue to be constructed this year; and
The San Juan Avenue Improvements Project will require an on-site facility from
which inspection and construction management activities can be performed; and
Whereas,
Robert F. Bayley Construction, Inc. currently leases a job trailer until they
complete construction of the Blue Heron Middle School and have expressed a
willingness to allow the City to take over their lease from G E Capital Leasing,
the owner of the trailer, along with existing power and telephone utilities; and
Whereas,
The Port Townsend School District is willing to allow the City to maintain the
trailer on school property for the duration of the City's project; and
Whereas,
This time-limited opportunity uniquely benefits the City by saving mobilization
and other costs that would otherwise occur making it impractical to prepare,
advertise and collect bids for leasing such a trailer;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND that it
hereby authorizes Public Works Staff to negotiate the transfer of the existing trailer lease and
appurtenant utilities for the purposes of housing construction administration staff for the San Juan
San Juan Avenue Improvements Project - Job Trailer Lease

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND that it hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign a contract with G E Capital Leasing
for the trailer lease for an amount not to exceed $2,800.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any actions taken pursuant to this authorization but prior to
its adoption are hereby ratified and confirmed.
