A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT
AGREEMENT WITH MONTGOMERY MARITIME SURVEY, INC., IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME FORM AS THE ATTACHED, FOR MARINE
SERVICES RELATED TO CITY DOCK AND UNION WHARF DAMAGES
The Port Townsend City Dock has sustained damages by
vessels using it; and
The City of Port Townsend will be renovating and managing
the use of Union Wharf; and
The appropriate .procedure for addressing such marine
damage claims involves the services of a marine surveyor;
and
The City has reviewed the roster,S, professional services
and has determined that ~Yis the most qualified
marine surveyor; and ~o~~¥ ~'7//V~ .~V~-~
The City wishes to contract with Larry Montgomery of
Montgomery Maritime Survey, a local marine survey firm,
with fees for services to be included in the claim for
damages or in the case of general assistance or
inspection, out of the Parks operating budget for these
facilities; and
It is expected that the City Dock, Union Wharf, and other
waterfront structures will occasionally sustain damages
that require additional inspection and consultation
services by a marine surveyor;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
