A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY FOR RELOCATION OF A
SECTION OF THE CITY'S WATER LINE IN CHIMACUM ROAD.
WHEREAS, Jefferson County determined it needs to make substantial renovations of the
Chimacum Road; and
WHEREAS,
The City of Port Townsend, as a franchisee to the County, supplies water
through a water main on Chimacum Road that must be relocated to
accommodate the County's planned improvements; and
WHEREAS, The County's road project is a federally funded project, and the City relocation
work must be adapted to the Federal format; and
WHEREAS,
Due to the lack of City and County staff able to perform this work, CH2M
HILL was contracted by the City to design the water line improvements
identified as Schedule B in the County's plans;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Por~ Townsend does hereby request
the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Agreement with Jefferson County for Relocation of the City's
Chimacum Road water line which outlines the respo~_ of the City and County in
coordinating this work. Adopted by the City Conj.'il of the/City o~Port Townsend and signed
by the Mayor this 1st day of May, 1995.
