RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICE/CONSULTANT AGREEMENT WITH
R.W. HAMLIN & ASSOCIATES FOR PREPARATION OF EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT PLAN
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City desires to develop an Emergency Management Plan, for the City
of Port Townsend, meeting the requirements set forth in RCW 38.52, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to develop the
Emergency Management Plan itself; and
WHEREAS, professional consultant R.W. Hamlin & Associates is experienced in
preparing emergency management plans, and has done so for a number of other communities;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council views the preparation of an emergency management plan
to be a high priority, and has budgeted necessary funds to procure the services of R.W. Hamlin
& Associates, in the amount of $3,900.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend authorizes and
directs the Mayor to sign the Professional Service/Consultant Agreement with R.W. Hamlin &
Associates, in substantially the form attached to this Resolution.
