A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO GRANT AN EASEMENT
ACROSS CITY-OWNED PROPERTY TO PUGET SOUND POWER & LIGHT
COMPANY FOR UNDERGROUND UTILITY SERVICE
Whereas,
The City is the owner of real property, identified by the
Jefferson County Assessor as Tax Parcel No. 901034001,
which is the site for the City's water reservoir and
related facilities serving the Tri-Area; and
Whereas,
Puget Sound Power & Light Company has requested that the
City grant an easement for the construction and
maintenance of an underground power transmission line
under an existing private road in the Southeast corner of
the City-owned property; and
Whereas,
Staff of the Public Works Department has inspected the
route of the proposed easement and determined that the
granting of the easement will not interfere with any
current or contemplated future operation of the City's
Tri-Area water system,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that it authorizes the Mayor to sign an instrument of conveyance
granting an easement to Puget Sound Power & Light Company for an
underground transmission line in the East 20 feet of the South 60
feet of Tax Parcel No. 901034001.
