A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO BID FOR AN AMBULANCE
FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the two backup ambulances are each sixteen years old, need
high maintenance and are over due to be replaced and upgraded to meet
the demands of area growth; and
WHEREAS, the department has been putting aside money annually to fund
the acquisition of this equipment in a programed equipment rotation
schedule; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this equipment is funded in the 1995 Fire
Department/EMS budget.
WHEREAS, the City desires to bid for an ambulance in a fair and timely
manor in accordance with State and local bidding regulations;
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby
.authorize the Mayor to call for bids .for an ambulance for the Fire
Department.
