A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH
JEFFERSON COUNTY TO PERFORM ROAD WORK ON DESIGNATED CITY
STREETS.
WHEREAS, The Transportation Improvement Program allows for the repair and reconstruction
of City streets; and
WHEREAS,
Jefferson County has a Public Works Department which employs persons who
specialize in certain types of Public Works projects, and also owns certain types
of specialized equipment; and
WHEREAS,
The City may from time to time find it advantageous or desirable to have certain
work performed by the Jefferson County Public Works Department for specific
projects; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 RCW provides that jurisdictions may enter into cooperative
agreements for their mutual benefit,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Port Townsend City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign
an Interlocal Agreement with Jefferson County to perform work as outlined in Exhibit "A"
reimbursable in an amount not to exceed $55,000.00.
