A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A JOINT FUNDING
AGREEMENT FOR WATER RESOURCES INVESTIGATIONS WITH THE U.S.
GEOLOGICAL SURVEY (USGS).
WHEREAS, The City requires streamflow information to comply with our water right on the
Little Quilcene River and mutually agreed upon instream flow for the Big Quilcene
River's; and
WHEREAS, The streamflow information is necessar~ to protect our water rights; and
WHEREAS, The hydrological information will assist in the accurate prediction and management
of our water resources; and
WHEREAS, The agreement needs to be renewed on a yearly basis; and
WHEREAS, The current agreement expires September 30, 1995;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend hereby authorizes the
Mayor to sign the joint funding agreement for water resources investigations with the USGS.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Town~ayor this 18th day
of September 1995.
