RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND TO ENTER INTO AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
AGREEMENT FOR PUBLIC WORKS CUSTODIAL MAINTENANCE
WITH PEAK ENTERPRISES, REPRESENTED BY PETER W. HAMM
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City and the Contractor desire to enter into an Agreement to formalize
their relationship; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Contractor as an independent
entity to accomplish the Scope of Services as set forth in the "Independent Contractor
Agreement" attached to this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services
itself; and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Contractor and finds that
the Contractor is qualified to perform the services required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend agrees to custodial maintenance of the Public Works Department building and City
Shops building performed by an Independent Contractor, Peak Enterprises, represented by Peter
W. Hamm, in substantially the same form as attached.
