A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL TO THE CONTRACT
WITH PERTEET ENGINEERING FOR DESIGN SERVICES ON THE SAN
JUAN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS,
Perteet Engineering, Inc., is the consultant selected to prepare a design for the
City and has participated in a series of design workshops with citizens interested
in improvements to San Juan Avenue; and
WHEREAS,
The consultant has responded to critical needs for providing improvements that
improves interim access to the new Blue Heron School for the opening this fall
and continues to perform in providing services needed by the City; and
WHEREAS,
The City has.additional needs beyond the original agreement requiring the
consultant to prepare revisions to the design to accommodate interim pedestrian
facilities, extensions of bicycle lanes north of the school modifications due to
additional right of way considerations; and
WHEREAS, Due to limited resources of City Staff, the Consultant offers services and staff that
the City cannot otherwise provide for this project,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the Mayor is
authorized to sign a Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with Perteet Engineering for an amount not
to exceed $10,524.00.
