A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO BH) FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A PRE-FABRICATED OFFICE BUILDING FOR PUBLIC
WORKS OPERATIONS DMSION
WHEREAS, the Operations Division of Public Works is located at 1818 Beech Street, and
WHEREAS, the OPerations Division office is located within the gates of the yard, and
WHEREAS, the general public has and needs access to the Office of the Operations Division,
and
WHEREAS, the general public, including children, walk inside the gates of the yard where large
equipment and large trucks travel in and out of the compound, and
WHEREAS, the City uses this facility for storage of water pipes, water valves, culverts, and
equipment, and
WHEREAS, public safety is a criteria and a policy of the City,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorize the Mayor to
bid for the purchase of a pre-fabricated office building for Public Works Operations Division.
