A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
POLARIS ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING
SERVICES FOR SPECIFIC ROAD AND UTILITY PROJECTS AS WELL AS DEVELOPING A
PHASED CITY SURVEY MONUME~ATION PLAN.
the City and the Consultant are desirous of entering into an Agreement to formalize their
relationship, and
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent entity to
provide engineering and surveying services for specific road and utility projects as well as
developing a phased City survey monumentation plan; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services itself; and
the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the Consultant
is qualified to perform the services required; and
the Consultant has been selected from the City's Professional Services Roster in
accordance with RCW 39. 80.
NOW TW,*.REFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it
authorizes the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Contract with Polaris Engineering and Surveying in
