A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH SHELDON AND ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE WETLAND INVENTORIES AND
DELINEATIONS AND ASSIST STAFF IN THE INVESTIGATION OF ESA
CONDITIONS ON PROPERTIES PROPOSED FOR DEVELOPMENT.
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent entity
to provide wetland inventories, delineations and assist staff in investigating ESA
conditions on properties proposed for development; and
WHEREAS, the City would further utilize the Consultant to assist in the preparation of SEPA
and environmental mitigation criteria; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services itself;
and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has been selected from the City's Professional Services Roster
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that
it authorizes the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Sheldon and Associates in
substantially the same form as the attached.
