ASSESSMENTS WITHIN LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. i TO
REFLECT SALES, SUBDIVISIONS, AND BOUNDARY LINE
ADJUSTMENTS
Whereas,
Within Local Improvement District No. 1, lands against
which assessment.s have been levied have either been sold
in part, subdivided, or subjected to a boundary line
adjustment; and
Whereas,
RCW 35.44.410 empowers the City Council to order a
segregation of assessments in a manner that will not
reduce the security of the lien created by the original
assessments; and
Whereas,
The lands within said improvement district that have
either been sold in part, subdivided, or subjected to a
boundary line adjustment, thereby necessitating
segregation of the relevant assessments, are described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof by this
reference;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
~hat it directs the Acting Treasurer in accordance with RCW
35.44.410 to segregate assessments affecting land within Local
Improvement District No. 1, as described herein, to reflect sales
in part, subdivisions, and boundary line adjustments; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Acting Treasurer is further
directed to segregate such assessments as nearly as possible on the
same basis as the original assessment was levied and to assure that
the total of the segregated parts equals'the assessment before
segregation.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed
by the Mayor this 2nd day of January, 1996.
