RF~OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION OF WATANGAA, INC.
FOR A WASHINGTON STATE REVOLVING LOAN FUND
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, Watangaa, Inc., d/b/a Coyote Found Candles ("Watangaa'), has applied
to the Washington State Department of Community Trade and Economic Development (CTED),
for a coastal loan to assist the business with economic development, including the creation of
new fuR-time and part-time employment opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the City supports the Economic Development Council of Jefferson County,
and its efforts to facilitate economic development opportunities within Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, in order to qualify for the Washington State Revolving Loan, Watangaa
must have the support of the City of Port Townsend as a sponsor for the application; and
WHEREAS, by sponsoring Watangaa's application, the City will not incur any financial
obligations, but merely expresses its support and sponsorship,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the City will serve as a sponsor to the application of Watangaa, Inc., d/b/a
Coyote Found Candles, for the Washington State Revolving Coastal Loan Program, administered
by CTED. The Council authorizes the Mayor to sign the necessary form to be filed with CTED
to demonstrate the City's sponsorship.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this ~ day of February, 1996.
