A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
APPROVING THE FINAL PLANS OF SAN JUAN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
PHASE I, AMENDING THE PROJECT PROSPECTUS TO REFLECT THE FINAL DESIGN
AND AUTHORIZING THE INVITATION TO BID THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.

The City Council originally authorized the design of improvements to San Juan
Avenue based on an approved conceptual plan prepared by the Consultant, Perteet
Engineering Inc.; and
Revisions were prepared by the Consultant and presented in a public meeting where
it was supported; and
The final design and construction cost estimate remains within budget; and
Approval of Final Design will allow the city to request the Washington State
Department of Transportation to obligate the available federal construction funding
for this project; and
Approval to advertise the Invitation to Bid will provide the earliest date to award the
construction contract and begin the work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the Mayor to sign an amended
Federal Aid Project ProspectUs in substantially the same form as attached and proceed with the
advertisement of the Invitation to Bid at the earliest possible date.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 15th day
of April, 1996.
