A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY FOR A COMPREHENSIVE
FLOOD MANAGEMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City Council and City Staff have recognized the need for a Comprehensive
Flood Management Plan for various drainage basins within the City; and
an application made to FCAAP (Flood Control Assistance Account Program) as
administered through the Washington Department of Ecology to perform a flood
control study on basins 5, 8 & 9; and
WHEREAS, $40,000 has been made available by FCAAP and is to be matched with $50,000 in
stormwater utility funds designated in the 1996 budget; and
WHEREAS, an agreement must be signed by the Mayor, an authorized agent for the City,

Be It Resolved, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend to authorize the Mayor to.
sign a grant agreement, in substantially the same form as attached, with the Washington State
Department of Ecology.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor.this 6th
day of May, 1996.
