RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE 3-H
CABLE COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONAL SERVICE/CONSULTANT
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 95-96 the City entered into a professional services contract with
3-H Cable Communications, Inc. (Consultant) to draft and negotiate a franchise renewal with Summit
Cable, and;
WHEREAS, the City has found the Consultant's services to be critical to the negotiations, and
their billings to be fair and reasonable, and;
WHEREAS, although progress has been made, negotiations are continuing, and;
WHEREAS, the finance committee has approved an additional $1,000.00 from the
mayor/council budget and an. extension of the contract term through December 31, 1996, and the
Consultant has agreed that this will be the entire amount billable under the existing scope of services
regardless of the number Of hours spent (excluding Consultant time in the event of litigation);.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend
that the Mayor is authorized to sign the First Amendment to the 3-H Cable Communications Agreement
in substantially the same form as attached.
This resolution shall be in effect five days after its passage in the manner provided by law.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor on this
6th day of May, 1996.
