RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND ACCEPTING AMBULANCE BID AND AWARDING
CONTRACT
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Port ToWnSend conducted formal bid opening for the Fire
Department ambulance bid on June 5, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the acting City Clerk and Fire Department officials have analyzed the bids
submitted to determine the lowest responsive, responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, BRAUN NORTHWEST, INC., is hereby determined to be the lowest
responsive, responsible bidder to provide a Type-I (truck-type versus van-type) Chevrolet
ambulance, at $98,814.82,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Council accepts the BRAUN NORTHWEST, INC. ambulance bid and awards
a contract for BRAUN NORTHWEST, INC. to provide to the City Fire Department a Type-I
Chevrolet ambulance for the total amount of $98,814.82. The Mayor of the City of Port
Townsend is authorized to execute all necessary documents and contracts to accept the bid, in
substantially the form provided to the bidder with the bid specifications.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this 17th day of June, 1996.
