A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH POLARIS SURVEYING AND ENGINEERING TO ADMINISTER
THE FLOOD CONTROL ASSISTANCE ACCOUNT PROGRAM GRANT AND
DEVELOP AN IMPLEMENTATION PLAN AREA STANDARDS AS OUTLINED IN
THE GRANT.

the City and the Consultant are desirous of entering into an Agreement to
formalize their relationship, and
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent
entity to accomplish the City's objectives and goals for the development of
Implementation Plan Area Standards for Drainage Basins 5,8,9 and 10 as
companion documents to the 1995 Stormwater Management Plan, and
the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services
itself; and
the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and f'mds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign
a Professional Services Agreement with Polaris Surveying and Engineering to develop an
Implementation Plan Area Standards for Drainage Basins 5,8,9 and 10 as companion
documents to the 1995 Stormwater Management Plan.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
day of 15th day of July, 1996.
