A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
STORMWATER/STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE MCPHERSON-DISCOVERY ROADS
STORMWATER PROJECT.
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS,
Discovery Road has sustained damage from the freeze-thaw conditions this winter; and
Discovery Road is a well-traveled street that serves access to much of the city and Grant
Street school; and
the stormwater flow causes substantial damage, through erosion, to McPherson and
surrounding streets; and
the proposed improvements will eliminate erosion and damage as well as additional
inflow into the City's sanitary sewer system caused by the excess stormwater flow;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize the Mayor to
Call for bids for the construction of stormwater/street improvements for the McPherson-Discovery roads
stormwater project.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 15th day of
July, 1996
