RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE/CONSULTANT
AGREEMENT WITH JOHN GRAHAM ASSOCIATES/DLR GROUP TO DRAFT AN
INTERIM PUBLIC SAFETY SPACE NEED PLAN FOR THE POLICE AND FIRE
DEPARTMENTS
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City and John Graham Associates/DLR Group (the "Consultant") desire to
enter into an Agreement to formalize their relationship; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent entity
to accomplish the City's objectives and goals of drafting an Interim Public Safety Space Needs Plan
for the Police Department and, to a more limited extent, the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services itself;
and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required for a total sum of Eight Thousand Nine
Hundred Eighty-four and No/100 Dollars ($8,984.00),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor is authorized to sign a Professional Services Agreement with John Graham
Associates/DLR Group as consultant to draft an Interim Public Safety Space Needs Plan for the
Police and Fire departments in substantially the same form as attached.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor on this
5th day of August, 1996.
