A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
DECLARING LAKESIDE INDUSTRIES TO BE THE LOWEST, RESPONSIVE,
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE STREET AND STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS
TO DISCOVERY ROAD AND MCPHERSON STREET AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT AWARDING THE BID TO LAKESIDE
INDUSTRIES OF t~'E'L'Ea4~, WA.
WHEREAS, Discovery Road sustained significant damage from storm events and the area
surrounding McPherson and 14th Streets have had reoccurring flooding; and
WHEREAS, The City has advertised and received bids for repair of these streets; and
WHEREAS, Bids were received in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance with the City and
State bidding laws; and
WHEREAS, The City has found Lakeside Industries to be the lowest, responsive, responsible
bidder.
N O -W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend accepts the bid
submitted by Lakeside Industries for One Hundred Six Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Seven
Dollars and Forty-Eight Cents ($106,667.48) as the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder and
authorizes the Mayor to enter into a contract with Lakeside Industries for the repair and
improvements to certain City streets.
Adopted by the City Council-of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 3rd
day of September 1996.
