A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT TO THE ALEA GRANT
AGREEMENT FOR THE UNION WHARF RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS,
the maximum eligible reimbursement amount of the grant from the Department of
Natural Resources for the Union Wharf Reconstruction Project is $2,000,000.00;
and
WHEREAS, the project period end date is December 01, 1996; and
WHEREAS, during the project several hazardous conditions were discovered that need to be
addressed; and
WHEREAS, the resolution of these hazards involved both additional construction time and
money, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has agreed to extend the project date to May
31, 1997 and provide $103,000.00 in additional funding,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign
an amended grant agreement with the Department of Natural Resources to extend the project end
date to May 31, 1997, and to allow the total reimbursable costs not to exceed $2,103,000.00.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 2nd
day of December, 1996.
