AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AMENDING
THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE, CHAPTER 10.04
PARKING, SECTION 10.04.194, FIFTEEN-MINUTE PARKING, TO
PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL FIFTEEN-MINUTE SPACES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend determines that
modification of existing parking regulations in Chapter 10.04, Parking, is appropriate
to amend and provide for certain 15 minute parking as set forth in this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend ordains
as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 10.04, Parking, Section 10.04.194 - Fifteen Minute
Parking, of the Port Townsend Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows

10.04.194 Fifteen-minute parking.
It is unlawful for any person to stand or park any motor vehicle continuously at the
same place for more than 15 minutes between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on
any day except Sundays and holidays, on the following streets of the city:
A. Harrison Street between Washington Street and Jefferson Street, on the west side.
B. Van Buren Street between Washington Street and the alley, on the east side.
C. The two parking spaces immediately in front of the entry door into the Waterman
and Katz Building, on the 100 block of Quincy Street.
D. One parking space on Water Street, between Madison Street and the parking area
bordering the west side of the police station (directly in front of the police station).
E. The first parking space on the west side of Taylor Street closest to and north of
Water Street (at the northwest corner of Taylor Street and Water Street).
F. The second parking space on the east side of Taylor Street, adjacent to and north of
the parking place reserved for physically disabled persons which is closest to and north
of Water Street (at the northeast corner of Taylor Street and Water Street).
G. The second parking space on the west side of Adams Street, closest to and north of
the parking place reserved for physically disabled persons which is closest to and north
of Water Street (at the northwest corner of Adams Street and Water Street).
H. The first parking space on the east side of Adams Street closest to and north of
Water Street (at the northeast corner of Taylor Street and Water Street).
I. The fourth, fifth, and sixth spaces (counting the easternmost space as number 1)
within a group of twelve head-in spaces on the south side of Washington Street, east of
Monroe Street.

SECTION 2. Penalty. A violation of this ordinance shall be as prescribed in
PTMC 10.04.205, Violations - Penalties, as now or hereafter amended.
SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or its application
to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the
application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days after the date of its
publication in the manner provided by law.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, at a
regular meeting thereof, held this second day of September 2003.
