A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH NORTHWESTERN TERRITORIES INC (NTI) TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR VARIOUS WATER DISTRIBUTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the City and the Consultant are desirous of entering into an Agreement to
formalize their relationship, and
WHEREAS,
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent entity
to accomplish the City's objectives and goals to oversee various water distribution
improvement and replacement projects; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services itself;
and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Professional Services Agreement, in substantially the same form as attached, with Northwestern
Territories Inc (NTI) to provide engineering services for various water distribution improvement
projects
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 18th
day of February, 1997.
