A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND MAIN STREET FOR THE OPERATION OF THE FARMER'S
MARKET, ALLOWING THE MARKET TO OPERATE UNTIL 3:00 P.M.
ON SATURDAYS RATHER THAN ONLY UNTIL 1:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, Main Street has requested that the City Council consider extending the hours
of allowed operation for the Farmer's Market on Saturdays to extend two additional hours into
the afternoon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the request is reasonable and will promote the
economic vitality and character of Port Townsend's downtown, and that the existing agreement
should be amended to allow the extended hours,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the license agreement
between the City and Main Street regarding operation of the Farmer's Market to allow its hours
of operation to extend until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this 21st day of April, 1997.
