RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH BUSINESS TEMPS, INC.
FOR TEMPO~Y PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING STAFF
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved creation of a Public Works Engineering
Division, to enable the City to handle City engin.eering, project management and inspection
in-house, with less reliance upon independent contract services; and
WHEREAS, Business Temps, Inc. ("Contractor") has agreed to provide temporary
employees to the City to staff the Engineering Division pending hiring of City employees; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to utilize Business Temps, Inc. as an independent entity to
accomplish the City's objectives and goals to provide temporary professional employees for the
City's Public Works Department's Engineering Division, in accordance with the attached
Agreement; and
Wltlh;REAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of Business Temps and finds that
the Contractor is qualified to perform the services required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor is authorized to sign the Business Temps, Inc. Professional Service
Agreement in substantially the form attached to this resolution.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this 2nd day of lune, 1997.
