A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH POLARIS ENGINEERING & SURVEYING, INC., TO PROVIDE SERVICES
RELATED TO WETLAND DELINEATIONS AND SURVEYING
The City needs to continue the process of delineating and surveying wetlands in
Drainage Basin 4 in furtherance of its strategy of preserving, where possible,
natural systems for stormwater control and conveyance; and
Polaris Engineering & Surveying, Inc., ("the Consultant") previously has provided
the needed services to the satisfaction of the City; and
WHEREAS, The City and the Consultant are desirous of emering into an Agreement to formalize
their relationship; and

It would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent entity
to provide wetland delineation and surveying services; and
The City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to complete the tasks itself; and
the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has been selected from the City's Professional Services Roster
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City_Council of the City of Port Townsend
authorizing th_e Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Polaris Engineering &
Surveying, Inc., in substantially the same form as attached.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend this 2nd day of June, 1997.
