RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
REPEALING THE 1989 TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT POLICY AND PROCEDURES
AND ADOPTING THE TRAVEL POLICY CONTAINED IN THE PORT TOWNSEND
PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, at the July 5, 1989 regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council
adopted by motion a Travel Reimbursement Policy and Procedures; and
WHEREAS, the existing travel policy is outdated and involves unnecessary paperwork;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to replace the existing policy with the travel and
reimbursement policy contained in the Personnel Policy Manual,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that:
1. The 1989 Travel Reimbursement Policy and Procedures are hereby repealed; and
2. The travel policy contained in the City of Port Townsend Personnel Policy Manual
as it now exists or is hereafter amended, adopted by Resolution No. 97-__, is hereby adopted
as the approved travel policy for City employees and officials.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this .19th daY of June, 1997.
