A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH GENERAL TESTING LABORATORIES TO CONDUCT
MATERIALS TESTING FOR THE SAN JUAN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS AND
OTHER CITY PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the City and the Consultant are desirous of entering into an Agreement to
formalize their relationship; and
WHEREAS,
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent entity
to provide materials testing for the San Juan Avenue Improvements and other City
projects; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to such services itself; and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Professional Services Agreement with General Testing Laboratories to conduct materials testing
for the San Juan Improvements and other City projects.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
16th day of June 1997.
