A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH
BERNT ERICSEN EXCAVATING INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF HENDRICKS
STREET POND STORM WATER OUTLET.
WHEREAS, stormwater runoff is a significant problem within the City; and
WHEREAS, Council has encouraged Public Works to work in cooperation with neighborhood
groups to help alleviate stormwater problems; and
WHEREAS, Public Works is completing this project in partnership with the St Herman's of
Alaska Eastern Orthodox Church and the Hendricks Street area neighbors; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff and equipment to complete this work,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Construction Contract with Bernt Ericsen Excavating Inc. to construct the Hendricks Street Pond
Storm Water Outlet for an amount not to exceed $19,000.00.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
16th day of June, 1997.
