A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE TREASURER TO ISSUE A WARRANT FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN
EASEMENT FOR A SEWER LINE
Whereas,
The City's contract with Lakeside Industries for the
construction of the San Juan Avenue Improvements project
includes the installation of a segment of a 30" sewer
trunk line that will run between a maintenance hole on
the East side of the right of way for San Juan Avenue and
a maintenance hole in the right of way for 38th Street to
the West of San Juan Avenue; and
Whereas,
The contract specifies that an easement will be acquired
by the City through private property for that portion of
the trunk line that will not be within dedicated public
rights of way; and
Whereas,
An agreement has been negotiated with O'Neill Dianne
Louchard, Trustee under an agreement dated October 22,
1990, the owner of Lot 1 of Wayson Subdivision Short
Plat, for the purchase of an easement 20 feet in width at
a price of $2,475, which is the fair market value
estimated by an appraisal performed for the City by a
certified Washington appraiser; and
Whereas,
The funds for this purchase have been budgeted 'for the
San Juan Avenue Improvements project,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that it authorizes the Treasurer to issue a warrant payable to
O'Neill Dianne Louchard, Trustee under agreement dated October 22,
1990, in the amount of $2,475 for the purchase of the easement
described in this resolution.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed
by the Mayor this 16th day of June, 1997.
