A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER #2 FOR AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $126,085.00 TO THE SAN JUAN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT TO EXTEND THE NEW 30- INCH SEWER LINE.
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS,
Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on public works projects
such as the San Juan Avenue Improvement Project; and
Public Works Staff recommends further extension of the 30-inch sewer line that
will replace the existing 18-inch sewer line; and
Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair
negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, Lakeside Industries:
NOW THEREFORE
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Change Order to the contract with Lakeside Industries for the extension of the new 30-inch sewer
line as part of the San Juan Avenue Improvement Project, in an amount not to exceed
$126,085.00.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
16th day of June, 1997.
