A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO SIGN A CHANGE ORDER WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION (DOT) AND ACE PAVING, INC. FOR WATER LINE
REPLACEMENTS AS REQUIRED BY THE REPAVING OF STATE ROUTE
19.

The DOT required the City of Port Townsend to remove and replace water lines
in the Tri Area service area from underneath SR 19 as part of their repaying work;
and
the City hired NTI Engineers to design the project and to negotiate a change order
with DOT and Ace Paving, Inc. for this work; and
NTI and DOT have completed their negotiations and have reached satisfactory
agreement with Ace Paving, Inc. for the cost to complete this water line
replacement.
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a change order with the DOT and Ace Paving in the
amount of $66,087.72 ( including sales tax) for the water line replacements associated with the
SR 19 construction per the design by NTI.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 16th
day of June, 1997.
