A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER #11 FOR $82,189.00 TO
THE UNION WHARF RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CONTRACT WITH HURLEN
CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on large construction
projects such as Union Wharf; and
WHEREAS,
Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair
negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, Hurlen Construction
Company; and
WHEREAS, The additional work was approved by the Union Wharf Advisory Committee and
the money is in the budget for the additional work,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign
Change Order/ti 1 for $82,189.00 to the Union Wharf Reconstruction Project contract with
Hurlen Construction Company.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 7th
day of July, 1997.
