A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH MEL WILLIAMS
DRILLING, INC. FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A WATER SUPPLY ON THE
RIGGLE PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, as part ora negotiation with a City water customer now outside our water service
area the City has agreed to drill a well in lieu of providing water service; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff and equipment to complete this work; and
WHEREAS, the City has obtained three quotes from qualified well drillers; and
WHEREAS, Mel Williams Drilling, Inc. has submitted the lowest quote,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign
an agreement with Mel Williams Drilling, Inc to develop a water supply system for the Riggle
property for the quoted amount of Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Seven Dollars and Seventy-
Five Cents ($9,207.75).
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 7th
day of July, 1997.
